Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman were once deemed to be Hollywood's most widely loved couple.
The duo got married in 1998 after meeting on the set of a new movie. The pair shared two kids and appeared to be so connected to each other.
However, by the early 2000s, the bond appeared to break down under a mix of pressures, as well as the intense careers that they were both involved in.
They spent long periods apart for work, and the hurdles of parenting young kids while navigating fame were never going to be easy.
As the marriage struggled, Hawke was alleged to be cheating on the actress with the family nanny. He denied the claims and blamed the divide in the marriage due to long standing problems. But soon after they separated, he got close to the nanny, Ryan Shawhughes.
