California Firefighter Allegedly Beats Wife to Death After Reading Her Diary

A firefighter-paramedic from Glendale, California, has been arrested and charged with murder after his wife was found dead in their North Hollywood home.

Authorities were seen describing this as a matter of domestic violence. The victim was identified as 55-year-old Mayra Jimenez, who was found covered with blunt force trauma injuries.

The cops alleged that she was beaten to death with an axe inside her home.

Her husband is now a suspect and was identified as 45-year-old Andrew Jimenez, who was taken into police custody. He now faces a murder charge with an enhancement for making use of a deadly weapon.

At the moment, he's being held on bail pending further proceedings. Law enforcement was seen replying after the suspect walked to a police station and requested a welfare check on his wife, stating he could not reach her. The incident is believed to have taken place after he read her personal diary, but no confirmation on the matter was made on what was written.
