The family of 37-year-old Minneapolis ICU nurse Alex Pretti has just forcefully rejected the federal government's account of the shooting that killed him during an immigration enforcement raid on January 24.
In a recently launched public statement, his parents were seen describing him as a kindhearted soul who was devoted to caring for veterans, family, and his friends. They also shared how they are beyond heartbroken about the matter, but at the same time, so furious about the incident that took place and how it was portrayed to the public.
They continue to insist that Pretti was not armed or rolling out threats to the agents when he was shot dead.
As per his family, the bystander video clearly showed him holding only a cellphone and raising his other hand while trying to protect one woman who was pushed to the floor and pepper-sprayed by agents.
They further characterized officials' claims that he tried to approach the officers with weapons as sickening lies and disgusting, accusing the Trump administration figures of rolling out major falsehoods about his actions. Pretti's loved ones urged the public to get the truth out before it was too late.
