Conjoined Twin Influencers, 27, Die After One Has a Heart Attack

Conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos have died at the age of 27 following a sudden medical emergency that left their loved ones and thousands of followers mourning their loss. The brothers, who were known online for sharing glimpses of their daily lives, died on October 15, according to an announcement shared by their social media team.

The twins, who were from Ecuador, built a following of more than 60,000 people on Instagram under the account name “siamesesdelecuador.” They regularly answered questions about their lives as conjoined twins, shared everyday experiences and encouraged their audience with messages about optimism and resilience. Their account was still active just days before their deaths, with a video posted on October 12 showing them loading a car trunk together.

According to their close friend Fernando Carrillo, who spoke to Spanish television program Y Ahora Sonsoles, the brothers were taken to the hospital after José Luis suffered cardiac arrest. Doctors reportedly managed to stabilize him, but the situation took another devastating turn when José Armando experienced a heart attack just minutes later. Both brothers died following the medical emergency.

The news was especially painful for their family. Their brother, Damián, spoke about the devastating impact of the loss on their parents, saying he had no words to describe how they were feeling. Friends and followers also shared tributes, remembering the brothers for their personalities, their smiles and the positive outlook they brought to their online community.

In a message announcing their deaths, the twins' social media team thanked everyone who had supported them and followed their journey. The statement celebrated the dreams they had pursued and the goals they had achieved, while emphasizing the lasting impact of their lives.

Their message ended with a phrase that had long represented them: “Where there's a will, there's a way, and disability is no impediment to being happy.”

For the thousands of people who followed their story, the brothers will be remembered not only for their unique lives but also for the openness, determination and encouragement they shared with others. Their deaths have left a deep void among their family, friends and online community.
