The Greenville County Coroner's Office has completed an initial autopsy for actress Hayden Panettiere.
They confirmed that no physical trauma gave rise to her sudden death. The formal cause of death remains under investigation, as it depends on pending additional testing.
Responders were seen receiving a call at 1:51 pm regarding a female in cardiac arrest at a South Carolina Temporary residence. Dispatch audio noted references to a potential overdose with CPR already in progress.
Advanced cardiac life support measures were initiated, but efforts were said to be unsuccessful, and she was soon pronounced dead at 2:32 pm at the age of 36. Officials did confirm that there were no signs of any physical trauma during this autopsy. Moreover, this investigation now remains open as toxicology and further tests proceed.
