Ariana Grande Speaks Out About Her Decision to ‘Step Back’ in 4-Minute Mid-Show Speech in Chicago: ‘Not a Reactive Thing’

The show needs to go on for superstar singer Ariana Grande.

The 33-year-old pop star returned to the stage yesterday for the next stop of her Eternal Sunshine Tour at the United Center in Chicago on Monday.

This is right after her rep made it clear that she's taking a step back from visibility once her current run of shows comes to an end in September.

Grande addressed the crowd that was present there with a written speech directly to her fans. 'The announcement that was made yesterday was not a reactive or impulsive thing. It's something that I had decided to plan!" Grande mentioned, making it clear that it was not abrupt but always in the books.

She soon explained to fans that it was not true that negativity was ruining things for her. While ending the speech, the star made it clear that the tour was the most healing, beautiful, and correct experience of her life.
