Heartbreaking images were recently taken from Nolan Wells's funeral, which showed his grieving parents leading his flower-draped casket out of Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Rev. Al Sharpton delivered an eulogy while filmmaker Spike Lee and the civil rights attorney Ben Crump attended to show support for the family. Hundreds of mourners were seen gathering for the 18-year-old college student who mysteriously lost his life following a boat trip to Horn Island on July 4.

The matter quickly drew national attention while local authorities first suggested that it was a case of accidental drowning. But the Wells family has now demanded a separate, transparent investigation due to conflicting witness timelines.

This is also due to the discovery of his personal belongings, which were left with acquaintances.
