Christopher Nolan's Odyssey debut was seen breaking the major box office record recently.
After the debut of the breakthrough film, it managed to attain a massive $264.1 million globally, setting the record for the filmmaker's biggest worldwide opening of his career. The R-rated movie is a mega three-hour epic film that managed to generate $124.5 million domestically.
Internationally, this was a whopping $139.6 million, claiming the title of being the biggest live-action opening of this year. Moreover, the movie managed to surpass The Dark Knight Rises to become his biggest global debut.
Delivering a towering $22.2 million internationally in IMAX alone, it captured 16% of the box office across 74 markets.
