Influencer Nara Smith was seen sharing how her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, is officially in remission after privately battling cancer for the past eight months.
The family chose to keep this diagnosis completely hidden from their millions of followers until this treatment was complete and they knew the outcome. Nara recently shared this bittersweet update through an emotional social media video.
Whimsy was diagnosed late last year after doctors found a suspicious issue and ran a series of tests, including a biopsy, and found that cancer had spread. She therefore needed immediate chemotherapy.
Nara did note how balancing long hospital stays with postpartum recovery and raising her other three young kids was one of the most difficult seasons of her life. The toddler's hair, which was lost during chemo, is now regrowing. The mother added that she and her partner, Lucky Blue Smith, are now taking life day by day as they try to return to everyday life.
