While he might have intended for it to be a tribute to his late The Hunt for Red October colleague, things didn't quite go as he might have planned. Critics made it clear on social media that they were appalled that the A-list star found it appropriate in the first place to post something like this.
They slammed the content as self-absorbed and selfish, mentioning Neil only in the first 10 seconds and the final five seconds of the clip. Instead of focusing on the late star, he spent most of the time reminiscing about his own experiences during filming the thriller from 1990.
