Daveigh Chase Left Behind Six-Figure Estate After Dying Without a Will

Former child star Daveigh Chase passed away without leaving a will behind.

This includes a massive estimated wealth of $400,000 thanks to her estate. The home comprises mostly of personal property with no real estate assets.

Her mother petitioned the LA County Superior Court to be appointed as the administrator of the estate, with a probate hearing that's scheduled for August 12.

The filings went on to speak about how they died in Los Angeles in June of this year, at the age of 35. During the time of her death, she was not married, had no kids, and was unhoused. A medical examiner's report soon listed her cause of death as AIDS, with chronic polysubstance use noted as another major condition.

The star who is best known for voicing Lilo in Lilo and Stitch and playing Samara in The Ring had struggled big time with problems like addiction and homelessness. This was during the years right before her death. Her mom shared that Daveigh's addiction started after she was given pain medication following a 2016 motorcycle incident, noting how she tried long and hard but was not legally able to force her daughter into seeking the right kind of help or treatment.
