The dismissal of Justin Baldoni's defamation-related counterclaim made in June of last year, a federal judge ruled that Blake Lively had full rights to seek her legal fees.
As a result, Lively was seen recently filing a motion and demanding more than $8 million in attorneys' fees, nearly $550K in litigation costs.

But it now seems like Justin Baldoni is not going down without putting up a fight. Sources shared more about how Judge Lewis Liman was determined to deny or substantially reduce this request, describing it as anything but a typical fee motion.
Baldoni's legal team argued that this amount is very high and pointed out to local media outlets that they only requested $181,000 to dismiss the exact same defamation claim.

Furthermore, they continue to accuse Lively's team of overstaffing, excessive internal conferencing, and redundant lawyer attendance at hearings.
