In case you haven't seen or heard, a new project by director Alejandro Inarritu called Digger is making the rounds online. The trailer features the movie as a dark satirical comedy featuring Tom Cruise himself as Rockwell.
The leading A-list star plays the role of the world's most powerful tycoon. Moreover, the movie's plot follows his character as he navigates a very frantic, chaotic mission to try to position himself as humanity's savior after mistakenly causing this huge ecological disaster that threatens to destroy everything.
The movie's marketing campaign even sparked a major division and confusion amongst fans following its release, as the trailer was far from the ordinary kind. The first 2.5 minutes feature no footage from the actual film. Instead, it highlights the star's very lucrative career in the industry, including roles in leading films where he played the lead star. Now that's what many found to be bizarre. What about you?
