Tragic Health Details Revealed After Singer Lionel Richie Rushed to Nearby Hospital in an Ambulance During Live Concert

Singer Lionel Richie left his fans devastated after he had to cut his performance short and be rushed to a nearby hospital after suffering a medical episode.

The star was seen sharing the stage with other performers yesterday during his joint tour with Earth, Wind & Fire in St. Paul, Minnesota. The 77-year-old music icon experienced a very dizzy spell while on stage and was therefore rushed to a nearby hospital via ambulance as a precaution.

Roughly one hour into his set, Richie got so dizzy and was forced to sit down on the stage while singing Dancing on the Ceiling. He continued to keep his spirits high during the night and told the audience that when you are dizzy, sit your backside down.

Still, he acted very professionally and started to sing Three Times a Lady while sitting down, but still had to leave the stage for an unplanned intermission. After nearly 40 minutes of waiting, his saxophonist shared that Richie was not well enough to continue, and therefore the rest of the show was canceled. The star reportedly spent the night in the hospital and is currently under observation.
