‘Fearless and generous’- Founder of Scary Mommy Jill Smokler DEAD at 48

Pioneer blogger and the founder of the famous parenting company Scary Mommy, Jill Smokler, has passed away at the age of 48.

According to reports from her loved ones, her family shared how she died after a brave two-year battle with glioblastoma, which is a very aggressive form of brain cancer.

The star was said to be suffering from the most advanced stage 4 of the disease after being diagnosed in May of 2024. Her family mentioned more about the news through Instagram, stating how she faced her illness bravely and was the funniest, fiercest, and most generous person out there today.

Today, she's survived by her three kids, including Lily, Ben, and Evan. In lieu of flowers, her family shared that the donations be given to the Brain Tumor Network.

The Scary Mommy was launched in March of 2008 while she stayed at home with her three kids under the age of four. Smokler first became famous for discussing raw and imperfect realities linked to motherhood, providing millions of women permission to speak in a candid manner regarding parenting struggles.
