Legendary singer Bonnie Tyler has reportedly woken up from a medically induced coma after more than a month of staying at an ICU in Faro, Portugal.
The 75 year old star remains seriously ill but stable following complications linked to an emergency intestinal surgery, and her medical team expects her to make a full recovery.
The Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero icon experienced serious abdominal pain in April. After returning to her residence in Portugal, she underwent emergency surgery for an intestinal perforation. Complications from that procedure forced doctors to place her in a medically induced coma in early May to help her recovery.
Reports indicate that as her medical team started attempting to bring her out of the coma, she suffered from a cardiac arrest. Fortunately, she's now awakened but will be closely monitored.
