Blake Lively was recently awarded a small victory in her legal battle against Justin Baldoni.
This came in the form of Baldoni being forced to pay her attorney's fees and litigation costs, but she was denied her request for treble and punitive damages. This decision follows a May 2026 settlement between Lively and her It Ends with Us co-star and director. While this settlement resolved their primary legal claims, both sides explicitly agreed to let the court decide if Lively would pursue fees and damages under the law of the state of California.
Judge Liman also ruled that Lively is now entitled to have Baldoni and his production company called Wayfarer Studios, cover all legal costs of the case, defending Baldoni's initial $400M defamation countersuit, which was dismissed in June of last year.
