Tyra Banks is firing back at Netflix following her appearance in the popular documentary, Reality Check: America's Next Top Model.
The supermodel chose to file a lawsuit where she can be seen making claims that the portrayal inside the docuseries linked to her show was not correct and therefore done to defame her with falsehood and lies. "It's nothing but a false narrative," she added.
Now, Banks is asking for a jury trial to determine the right amount she should receive in damages, as per court documents attained by the magazine. Banks took part in the Netflix documentary because she felt viewers deserved a candid conversation regarding the show's legacy. While she did take accountability for some parts of the show, many others, she says, were all lies and therefore defamatory in nature.
She's seen answering questions in the 3.5-hour-long interview about the show's groundbreaking history and the criticism and decisions that she might approach in a different manner today.
