Bill Gates claims he told members of the House Oversight Committee during a closed-door testimony that Jeffrey Epstein tried to blackmail him over his infidelity to his then-wife, Melinda French Gates.
"I learned Epstein had become aware of some sensitive data about my personal life, including the fact that I was unfaithful in my marriage,"- the billionaire shared.
Gates made it clear that the affairs had nothing to do with his interactions with the pedophile, but they were so painful for his family.
The Microsoft co-founder was seen sharing the message in his opening statements amid the committee's ongoing Epstein investigation, as per a copy of Gates' planned remarks that he also chose to share online.
"As the public can now see, based on what has been shared in the files, Epstein was working to use that data about my infidelities, in addition to the many lies that he added on top"- Gates boldly declared.
Gates also accused Epstein of trying to leverage his interactions with him to further his agenda. The Microsoft co-founder agrees that he should never have met with Epstein.
