Kurt Russell was seen exposing Michelle Pfeiffer's difficulties with legendary director Robert Towne.
The star mentioned how it was not easy, and the relationship they shared was hard to watch at times. 'In all honesty, they had difficulties, and you can't ignore that'- she added. "I was a bit of a go-between, as it were," he revealed, adding how, because of that, he and the actress had a strong relationship and had a wonderful time working with each other.
Pfeiffer's reps are yet to comment on the matter. But sources shared more about how the 1988 film, which was written and directed by Towne, followed two childhood friends played by Russell and Mel Gibson who get entangled in a tense love triangle with a gorgeous restaurateur, who was played by Pfeiffer.
Towne had famously written the 1974 Chinatown, which won him the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, and the 1990 sequel called The Two Jakes. He passed away at the age of 89.
