Congratulations are in order for Sir Idris Elba after England's King Charles knighted the actor on Tuesday in a regal ceremony that was held at Windsor Castle.
The celeb got one of the highest honors, not for his acting ability but for his service to young individuals. Elba is much more than just a famous face.
Sir Idris and his wife, Sabrina Elba, founded the Elba Hope Foundation, an organization that partners with local leaders and institutions to address youth unemployment, education gaps, and food insecurity.
As per the Foundation's website, the Elbas have assisted in raising billions to fight poverty and millions for the COVID-10 rural poor stimulus fund, not to mention millions for debt relief in Somalia.
