James Ambrose, who is now celebrating his 75th wedding anniversary with wife Julia, shared the same moment when he learned the secret to a happy marriage.
The couple from Pennsylvania, who are both in their 90s, marked the major milestone over this past weekend. They opened up to CBS News about their love story, which started in the year 1951 as the Korean War was taking place.
In the small town of Ligonier near Pittsburgh, Julia was seen catching James' eye one day while she was walking out with a girlfriend.
We were at the youth center, and we would go uptown and walk around the diamond. She was a pretty girl and caught his attention in a minute.
When asked by the reporter what he first noticed about Julia, James mentioned with a big smile that her appearance was what struck him at first.
