Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke has passed away at the age of 29.
A spokesperson for the LA Police Department confirmed to the press that a body was found at the location reported as the place of his death.
Officers reportedly responded to the 20300 block of Del Campo Place for a possible death investigation. Fire department personnel located a dead male at the location. Officers carried out an investigation and completed the death report.
The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner confirmed to the media outlets that the death is still under investigation.
NBC4 LA reports, citing law enforcement sources, that drugs were also found inside the residence. Now, the death is being looked into as a possible overdose. After playing college basketball at the Jose State University, he was drafted 21st overall in the 2019 draft. This is right before he landed with the Memphis Grizzlies. He played with this team for seven seasons.
