Girl, 11, Sets Up Lemonade Stand to Buy Late Father’s Headstone 2 Years After His Death from Throat Cancer

An 11-year-old girl has raised enough money from selling lemonade to purchase a headstone for her late dad.

Kaylee Hernandez, who hails from Texas, spoke to local media outlets about how her family wished to buy a special headstone after her father passed away from throat cancer at the age of 51, almost two years ago, in June 2024, but they could never afford it.

Kaylee decided to open up a lemonade stand in his name over the weekend as part of Lemonade Day, and she ended up raising nearly $3000, which was enough for her to purchase a headstone.

"I was a daddy's girl, and so this allowed me to give him what he needed,"- she revealed.

Many have hailed the young girl's intelligence and her smart, as well as hardworking, nature, seeing great potential in her for the future.
