Tragic reports are speaking about a former teacher who was accused of abusing and then killing his own adopted baby.
He shared how the child was dead meat and that he murdered him in the weeks before the infant died.
37-year-old Jamie Varley and his partner John McGowan adopted 13-month-old Preston Davey as per the court.
For just under four months after his adoption, he was routinely ill-treated and suffered 40 traumatic injuries at the defendant's residence in Blackpool, as per the jurors. He passed away in the hospital on July 27, 2023. Varley denied murder and denied the death of the child, as well as other offenses from the start.
He shared with his sister that the child was dead meat and he had nothing to do with it. As per court records, he mentioned that this was so sudden and shocking for him, not something he had anticipated, despite the child being a healthy baby from the start.
