At least three people have passed away, and nearly 22 more were left injured in a horrifying bus crash that took place on a major highway in western Turkey.
A passenger bus was left on its side when the driver, all of a sudden, lost full control and slammed right into a barrier. Passengers were seen being thrown into absolute chaos and panic as the large vehicle flipped, as per leading local media outlets.
Three people were tragically confirmed dead at the scene of the accident. Police are yet to release the cause of the crash as investigations are still taking place.
The bus reportedly flipped on the Bandirma Canakkale road in the Bandirma district.
Emergency services rushed to the fatal scene and started to desperately pull injured passengers from the overturned vehicle.
All the injured travellers were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, and some were described as being in a serious condition.
