The University of Oxford is currently facing serious backlash online after a male lecturer appeared in attire featuring fake breasts, exaggerated cleavage, and women's clothing.
The criticism arose when Matt Rattley, who is a lecturer from the Biochemistry Department at St. Hilda's College, was seen donning the attire.

The matter left many questioning boundaries of academic expression, professionalism in the world of education, and where universities need to draw the line sometimes. One person was seen reacting, 'How did we even reach this point where a male lecturer can wear gigantic fake breasts with cleavage, and people are expected to ignore it'- he continued, and many agreed.

Rattley has held a non-stipendiary position at the leading university since October 2021.
Before joining the teaching staff, he was an Oxford alumnus and completed his master's degree in chemistry from Somerville College in 2012.
