A five-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her own mother and stepdad and was then buried alive, a forensic medical report revealed.
The post-mortem examination concluded recently, and the results stated more about how Maria Clara Aguirre Lisboa had died from mechanical asphyxiation caused by burial. Her body was soon retrieved in a shallow, cement-covered grave at the rear of the home that she shared with the pair.

Now, the alleged murderers are both in custody and have confessed to this killing. The report shed light on how she was still breathing when she was buried. It also identified head trauma consistent with assaults involving a blunt object before the burial in Brazil.

Her body was found on October 14, 2025, and is now believed to have been buried for nearly 20 days, as per forensic experts.
Maria Clara's paternal grandad reported her missing to child services in early October, with the case passed to the police.
