A family residence in Queens was burned down to the ground by a giant fire that arose during the early hours of Thursday.
The gas-fed blaze broke out at home on 130th Street in New York at about 3 am and soon caused the house to collapse. Firefighters worked tirelessly for hours to keep the flames at bay and stop them from spreading across the neighborhood.

The devastating blaze resulted in eight police officers being injured while responding to the scene.
Firefighters remained on the scene on Thursday morning, working relentlessly to contain all the hot spots and secure that area. As well as the police officers who got injured, three more people were hurt during the fire, but it's yet to be known if they were people who lived at the residence. All injuries were reported to be of a minor degree.

Investigators spoke more about how the incident started as a family issue that involved a knife, which somehow escalated and led to a major explosion and a big blaze. The incident remains under investigation at this moment in time.
