Two 22-year-old twin brothers named Francesco Fierloni and Giacomo Fierloni were recently found dead in one another's arms after a tragic accident occurred in Magione.
As per reports from local media outlets, the brothers were said to be outside, training their pet birds when the tragedy struck.
A pigeon landed on a high-voltage power line, carrying nearly 20,000 volts. One of the twins tried to retrieve the bird using a carbon fiber pole, which accidentally touched the live wires. As a result, he was electrocuted instantly.
Authorities believed the second brother rushed in to assist, but was also fatally electrocuted in the process of doing so.
When the brothers did not return home or answer their phones, their dad and uncle were looking for them.
They soon found the pair lying unresponsive in a field, locked in an embrace. Emergency responders tried to revive them but were not able to save either brother.
