Tragic reports are speaking about at least 10 people getting injured and two being in a critical condition after an argument escalated into a major gunfight at the Mall of Louisiana on Thursday afternoon.
Two groups were said to be fighting near the food court area when shots erupted all of a sudden at the Baton Rouge mall, just before the clock struck 2:30 pm. This was confirmed by the cops during a recent press conference on the matter.
Baton Rouge Police Chief assured that there is no current threat to the public right now, but one or two suspected shooters were still at large at this moment in time. Sources revealed how the situation was a grim one, as innocent shoppers nearby might have also caught some rounds, causing them to be seriously injured and hospitalized. It's still not clear how many people were injured.
The police assured citizens that all the thugs involved in this terrifying act would be caught and punished.
Louisiana's governor confirmed the shooting scene just before 3 pm today.
