Tragic reports are speaking about a school shooting comprising an armed attack that was carried out by a 14-year-old student at the Ayser Calik Secondary School in Turkey.
The incident follows an attack that took place on Tuesday, which saw another 17-year-old gunman storm a school in Turkey's Siverek district and injure 16 people with gunfire before turning the weapon on himself.
Shocking images from the campus showed pupils and students fleeing from the school building, with some seen frantically jumping from open windows.
As per eyewitnesses, parents were seen rushing to the campus where they embraced their kids before running in panic. Some also mentioned hearing intense gunfire during that incident. Nine people had lost their lives in the attack, including a teacher and eight students.
The governor spoke on the matter, confirming that the shooter was an eighth-grade student from the same school and his father was a former police officer. They suspect he stole his weapons without his knowledge as investigations continue.
