Tragic reports are arriving from night two of Coachella as the stage was reportedly shut down after a tragic accident unfolded.
The night that was supposed to be full of high-energy beats soon took a major turn when a heavy lighting fixture fell on the audience. This struck at least one concertgoer in the head and left her covered in blood.
The terrifying incident shortly unfolded after 8 pm on Friday as DJ John Summit performed at the famous Do LaB stage, where one witness described the fixture plummeting from high above.
Joey Freshour, who happened to be standing a few rows back with friends, explained to the media outlet that the equipment struck a woman ahead of him and gashed her whole head open.
Witnesses described how there was blood all over the light, and then there was blood on the ground.
Panic soon rippled through the audience as nearby concertgoers waved lights to get the attention of the medical staff.
