A family was recently saved from a burning house hours after a five-year-old child noticed something was not quite right.
According to reports from local media oulets, Jayden was sleeping inside his living room when he all of a sudden woke up to the sound of loud popping on Friday April 3. This was around 6:20 am in his family's Longview, Texas, residence.
The young boy was the only person awake among the six occupants at the residence. After waking up, he saw flames at the front door and went to warn his aunt about the impending tragedy.
"I went inside her room and said Fire!"- he started to recall. The young child was still wrapped inside his tiny blanket when he informed her of this. He further recalled, 'Oh my God!' and by that moment in time, the smoke alarm had already gone off.

As the family began evacuating the residence, neighbor Jana Herrera shared more about how she saw a fire at her residence on her way to work.
Once she laid her eyes on the fire inside the home, she immediately got a hold of 911. She then came across a young boy and a woman who started to evacuate, who then said there were more people inside, and some of them were bed-bound.

Herrera helped to bring everyone to safety, and by the time she removed the last person from this blaze, firefighters started to arrive at the scene. Sources shared how, without this young child, things would have gone a little differently.
