Blake Lively's sexual harassment suit against Justin Baldoni has just dealt with a major blow.
According to reports from local media outlets, a federal judge in the southern district of New York had ruled more on Baldoni's bid to end the case before it goes to trial.
It was confirmed that Judge Lewis Liman had dismissed the majority of Lively's claims, including harassment, defamation, and conspiracy. He did allow a narrower set of allegations, including breach of contract and two retaliation-related claims, to remain and move forward to the trial.
Judge Liman wrote that certain claims could not proceed as a matter of law, including those dependent on Lively being classified as an employee, while others were allowed to continue.
This new ruling dismisses some claims, including Lively's Title VII retaliation claim and California Labor Code retaliation claim, as well as others against individual defendants.
