Former Wisconsin football player Jack Pugh has passed away, as confirmed by his school.
The former tight end for the Badgers from 2021 to 2023 is said to have suffered from serious mental health issues before his death at the age of 24.
No cause of death has been shared by his family at this moment in time. Wisconsin football shared a tribute to the former player on X late on Tuesday. It stated how the Wisconsin Athletics family was just so deeply saddened to hear about Jack's sudden passing.
They remembered him as a positive light and brought a genuine spirit to the entire football program. More than that, he was said to have cared about people and was adored by his teammates and staff. Jack proudly earned his degree from the UW- Madison in 2025 and would forever be remembered and loved, they continued.
The Ohio native was a four-star recruit for the Badgers despite only playing football for his final two years in high school.
