A Texas mom and her 7-year-old child were recently killed in a tragic accident where a driver plowed through their residence in the middle of the night.
As per the police and reports from local media outlets, Gracie Yates was arrested after she crashed into the bedroom of seven-year-old Alex Rocha and his 49-year-old mother Barbara Rocha's, residence at about 3:20 am in the night on Sunday.
Both the mother and son died from their injuries despite life-saving efforts being conducted by first responders. Alex's older brother shared more details about the harrowing incident, including how he heard a loud crash and went inside the room. And that's when he heard his little brother screaming and his mom praying.
He added that what he saw next was horrifying, and it was just too much for him to bear.
"I never imagined that this would happen to me. I never imagined losing my mother and my brother like this. They did not deserve this," he continued while praising his mother as the most loving and caring human being on earth.
Investigations are being carried out to determine what led to the crash, as cops did hint at the suspect being drunk and behind the wheel at the same time.
