Shocking reports are speaking about a unique and historic robbery that comprised a sweet escape.
According to reports from local media outlets, thieves ended up stealing nearly 12 tons of KitKat chocolate bars in Europe last week after they made a quick run for it with a truck that was believed to be transporting it. The news was confirmed by Swiss food giant Nestle NESN.S.
KitKat, which is made by Nestle, shared more about how the truck happened to be carrying nearly 413,793 bars of the famous range of chocolates.
It set off from central Italy to distribute the chocolate throughout Europe, but never ended up reaching its designated destination for delivery, which was supposed to be Poland.
The vehicle and the merchandise remain unaccounted for, and Nestle failed to reveal where exactly this truck was lost. In another statement that was shared online, KitKat was seen speaking about how the missing bars are traceable through a unique batch code.
