'Tonight Show' MC Apologizes to BTS for Joke Deemed Racist by Fandom

The Tonight Show, featuring host Jimmy Fallon, was called out by BTS fans after the world-famous boy band made their appearance on the show yesterday.

The show is in the crosshairs of BTS fans for a joke that was made by the show's MC during the taping of the episode that would be aired today. Since then, he's apologized to the international superstar group.

Seth Herzog, who is the show's warm-up comic, and Jimmy Fallon continued to be grilled on social media after audience members said they felt a certain joke made at the taping was highly racist towards the globally popular band. Fans are now demanding an apology immediately.

One source with direct knowledge spoke to TMZ and apologized for the matter, and network brass spoke to Herzog about the incident.

As far as the joke is concerned, the host asked the members where they were from and then made a sarcastic comment: 'Is anyone here from the North?' This had the members smirking as it hinted at North Korea, which many found offensive for obvious reasons.
