Tragic reports have confirmed that Married at First Sight coach Mel Schilling has passed away at the age of 54.
The heartbreaking news was shared by her husband, who mentioned this through a sad post on Instagram.
The news comes just two weeks after she had shared that her cancer had spread to her brain.
Schiling has been part of the cast of the reality TV show since the year 2016. She shared her colon cancer diagnosis in December of 2023, but vowed to fight it out.
The statement from her husband, Gareth, mentioned how she passed away peacefully today, surrounded by love.
"To most of you, she was Mel Schilling. To Maddie and me, she was our wee Melsie, an incredible mother, role model, and soul mate," his post read.
He also shared how she used all of her remaining strength in her final moments to whisper a message for her daughter Maddie and him 'that will sustain me for the rest of my life'- he concluded.
