Fla. Woman Recently Became a Grandmother. Then She Was Allegedly Killed Outside Walgreens by 'Insecure, Jealous' Ex

A woman in Florida who just recently became a grandmother was recently identified as one of the two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting that occurred at a Walgreens Store.

Deputies were seen replying to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of the store in Pointe Vedra Beach around 10:30 pm on Friday.

There, they found two people with several gunshot wounds, both of whom later passed away at local hospitals.

Melissa Wood was identified as one of the leading victims in a GoFundMe set up by her own brother, who claims she was shot to death by an insecure, jealous former lover.

He then revealed how she left behind two small kids and had only recently become a grandmother barely a year back. Now, she leaves her mother and her brother grieving her loss.

The victim was described as a loving, caring, and generous individual who did not deserve this kind of behavior.
