Former Syracuse quarterback Rex Culpepper passed away over the weekend from serious injuries that he suffered in a dirt bike accident in Georgia.
The star was only 28 years old. The tragic news was confirmed by his fiancée, Savannah Morgan, in a heartbreaking post on Instagram on Monday. This is just less than a month after the pair shared the news of their engagement on social media with images of Culpepper dropping down to one knee and Morgan showing off the ring.

"No one expects to meet the love of your life and lose them in just 6 short years after meeting,"- Morgan mentioned in the heartbreaking post.
This featured images and videos of Culpepper. She added how Rex didn't always believe in the idea of soulmates, but towards the end, he did mention that he did not realize what having a soulmate felt like until they felt like extensions of one another.

She also mentioned how the pair always lived every single day like it was their last. They did every little thing that they set their minds to. This included learning new skills, hobbies, and even traveling the world together. She concluded by saying he made the six years spent together feel like a lifetime.
