16-year-old Madison Fields was recently found safe inside a hotel room in Florida. The young teen was declared missing for nearly a month.
The incident reportedly brought a sense of gratitude and relief to the entire community as well as her loved ones, who were working hard to locate her safely. The teen who hails from Colerain Township in Ohio was initially declared missing last month, and that gave rise to a very serious search by the local cops and authorities.
Investigators did identify a person of interest that they felt could be linked to the mystery disappearance. When they arrived at his home in Tennessee, he had already fled before they could find him.
This is when they opted to chase down his car. In the end, the cops ended up in Florida, where the teen was found safe and sound. Authorities shared more about how the suspect’s car was soon located in the parking lot at the Palatka police station.
They managed to track the car to a hotel that was located nearby. At this point, they found Madison safe. Thankfully, the cops managed to take the suspect into custody, but the officials have yet to release the person’s identity, and they also did not share the charges that he would be facing.
