A major airport was recently attacked by Iran in what many are describing as a major escalation in the war with the US and Israel.
According to reports from local media outlets, the country struck Bahrain's International Airport and Iraq's Basra port. The incident left at least one person dead and several injured.
The leading transport hub came under attack on Wednesday alongwith commercial vessels as the country intensified tensions in a bid to inflict more global economic pressure and damage while forcing the US and Israel to cease war.
Bahrain's Muharraq Island houses the country's international airport. It was seen engulfed in huge flames on Thursday following the massive Iranian strike. Moreover, residents were advised by the officials to stay indoors and shut all windows to stop smoke inhalation, as per reports.
A separate assault was rolled out by Iran on Iraq's Basra port that resulted in at least one death and forced all operations to cease at all of the country's oil terminals.
Iran says it refuses to back down and conduct a ceasefire with the US until all of its demands are met.
