Britney Spears 911 dispatch reveals terrifying hour-long highway chase with pop star before DUI arrest

Pop star Britney Spears was arrested on March 4 in Ventura County, California, on suspicion of driving under the influence after a very dramatic highway incident that took place along the 191 Freeway.

As per the police, they received alerts starting at 8:13 pm about a black BMW sedan being driven very erratically. This includes swerving between lanes and suddenly braking, with no working taillight.

Dispatch audio shared more details about how law enforcement officers coordinated a search and pursuit of this vehicle for nearly one hour before it was finally stopped.

At nearly 9:13 pm, the driver came out of the car and was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol about 30 minutes later. After being pulled over, the star was transported to a hospital so blood could be drawn to test for alcohol and other drugs.

An unknown substance was also found inside the celeb's vehicle, which is now being analyzed by the police.

Spears was booked in the early hours of Thursday and then released after a citation through the CHP's cite and release process.
