Tragic reports are being shared about the details in the case involving a young cheerleader who was slain by her own mother.
A new 911 call audio was released that showed the growing concerns of the father who was desperately trying to find the whereabouts of his 11-year-old. The cheerleader reportedly disappeared with her mom during a trip to Las Vegas.
The father says he contacted all emergency services for help after realizing that his daughter and mother didn't show up for the scheduled dance competition that they had both flown out for. They were similarly not answering any phone calls or text messages, which again was very rare.
During the call, he can be heard saying that nothing makes sense because everything was normal before they left and when he last spoke to them.
The girl named Addilyn Smith was seen traveling with the mother, Tawnia McGeehan, to attend the competition. But neither of them showed on the day of the event, with all contacts that went through not being responded to.
Officers shared how they went to the hotel and knocked on the door, but again, there was no response. During that moment, there was no clear indication if anyone was inside or in immediate danger, so they left without forcing entry. Later on in the day, hotel security entered the room and made the tragic discovery of both bodies, covered in gunshot wounds. The motive of the killing still remains unclear.
