Disgraced music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, who is the founder of Bad Boy Records, is now scheduled for an early release from federal prison amid great efforts to appeal for his sentence.
Originally convicted in the year 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution and sentenced to roughly 50 months behind bars, he's seen his official release date moved earlier than what was set previously.
His new release date is now April 25, 2028, which is six weeks sooner than the original one that was scheduled for June 4.
The change comes as the star is said to be taking part in the Residential Drug Abuse Program at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey, which is a program that could shorten sentences for inmates who engage fully in rehab activities.
Officials confirmed the latest date after his active participation in this program.
Combs is now appealing his conviction, arguing that flaws in this trial could be handled and seeking either a limited sentence or a reversal of the verdict.
