A country music star is admitting she drank too much before one of her past shows and now wishes she had made a different decision that night.

The singer revealed that while she has never canceled a show, there is one performance she believes she probably should have called off. During a concert in Washington, D.C., she said she had “over-served” herself before taking the stage and realized it was not a good situation.
Despite that, she went ahead with the performance and managed to make it through the show.

The candid confession came during a recent interview where the country star reflected on some of the moments in her career and personal life that she now looks back on differently.

She also discussed other regrets from her past, including a song she released during her marriage to fellow country singer Michael Ray. She joked that the song did not age well and described her marriage as a “very big mistake.”
The singer has continued moving forward with her career. She recently released her fifth studio album, Honest Woman, and is preparing for a series of intimate live performances.
Her admission about the concert gives fans a rare look at a night when she knew she had gone too far with the drinking but still chose to take the stage.
