K-pop powerhouse NewJeans continues proving its global influence as their hit song Ditto officially surpassed 900 million streams on Spotify, marking another historic achievement for the group’s rapidly growing international success. Released in December 2022 as part of the single album OMG, “Ditto” quickly captured attention worldwide with its warm sound and emotional tone inspired by the Baltimore club genre. The track’s dreamy atmosphere and soft vocal delivery helped it stand out globally soon after release. Within just six months of debuting as a group, NewJeans managed to enter both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100, an achievement rarely reached so quickly by rookie artists.

Beyond international charts, the song also dominated South Korea’s domestic music scene. It topped Melon’s annual chart in 2023, confirming its strong popularity among Korean listeners as well as global audiences. Over time, the track has continued to attract steady streaming numbers, especially during winter seasons when listeners revisit its sentimental mood.

“Ditto” has also earned recognition outside Korea. The song won Best K-Pop Song in Japan at the Music Awards Japan 2025 and later became the first K-pop girl-group track to receive triple-platinum streaming certification in Japan for surpassing 300 million streams there. These achievements highlight the track’s long-term popularity across multiple regions.
