Selena Gomez's latest effort to promote her brand, Rare Beauty, is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
On Wednesday, the star was seen taking part in the Rare Beauty x Sephora event that featured plenty of influencers and beauty experts. She was styled by makeup artist Hung Vanngo, who was also responsible for the celeb's Oscars look from 2025.
{img}Gomez was joined at this leading event by several influencers and a famous New York esthetician named Natalie Violette, with whom she clicked a picture.
It did not take long at all before that image went viral, with many netizens focusing on the intense expressions on display. "Why are her eyes like that?'- one person asked, and then another was seen confidently noting: 'She had work done to her face!'

Their makeups were almost identical as well, with both of them showing off rosy cheeks, full eyebrows, and neutral-toned lips. Despite both women appearing beautiful, people were just so sad that it was Gomez's fake smile and unnatural glance that drew the most attention.
